Born and raised in Guadeloupe, in the French Caribbean, Virginie Lentulus — a model of French, Cuban and Indian heritage — entered the music scene in 2018 under the name GILONE.
Blending ethereal electronic textures, alternative pop and cinematic soundscapes, GILONE crafts a hypnotic dream-pop universe that invites listeners into immersive emotional landscapes. At once minimalist and deeply organic, her music evokes oceanic depths, memory and transformation.
A self-taught producer and sound designer, she writes, composes and produces her own work. Her debut EP, Ocean Call, released in December 2021, introduced a singular artistic voice shaped by both introspection and movement.
Also a visual artist, dancer and creative director, GILONE oversees the artistic direction of her music videos and develops multidisciplinary projects at the intersection of sound, image and performance.
Since 2022, she has composed vocals for films, including Queen of the Sea and Sex Is Comedy, and created performative soundtracks for art projects such as Seekers, The Year of the Tiger and Alpha.
Her forthcoming EP, Love Is the Message, will be released in 2026.
Led by the single Tight, the project explores love as a force of healing, resilience and human connection.
